In the second excerpt, from the Second Canto, Sukadeva Goswami instructs King Pariksit, who was facing certain death in a week, on how to face his fate fearlessly and successfully by becoming absorbed in thoughts of Krsna. Both sections concisely describe the purifying and sanctifying power of Krsna consciousness in beautiful Sanskrit poetry and Srila Prabhupada’s realized translations and commentary.
